Club Wyndham Coffs Harbour is a luxurious accommodation complex only a short walk from Charlesworth Bay Beach.

The holiday resort needed an external facelift to ensure its presentation remained akin to its picturesque surroundings.

The challenge

The resort was in moderate condition upon our first inspection. The facilities management team of Club Wyndham was interested in having all rendered surfaces of the resort repainted and had considered replacing the existing colour scheme.

Another operational hurdle for the painting contractor was the facility’s need to maintain 95% occupancy throughout the delivery of the new paintwork. This was intensified by the inclement weather that persisted throughout the project’s delivery.

Solution

Our operations team put together a works schedule that scoped for sectional repaints of the facility to enable the resort’s occupancy to remain at an acceptable level. Although the project was one of the biggest our team has delivered, our ongoing relationship with Wyndham Vacation Resort Asia Pacific gave them the confidence to trust Higgins for the repaint.

Our local Dulux representative aided the customer with their decision-making process regarding colour palettes. After consultation with Dulux and the customer the preferred colour palette was determined and applied to complete the makeover.

While conducting sectional repaints, we constructed hoarding zones and employed traffic management to enable to the safety of all on-site. We utilised boom lifts and scissor booms for areas exceeding ground level.

Results

Working closely with the facilities management team, we’ve delivered an outstanding result and helped rejuvenate the facility. It’s been a pleasure to apply Higgins trademark craft to another esteemed Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific facility and we’re looking forward to continuing to grow our relationship with the local team in Coffs Harbour.
