The facility at 126 Church Street, Parramatta stands in the heart of the CBD, attracting attention from pedestrian traffic daily.

Our Sydney team provided the facility’s manager with a plan to help restore the tired facades of this commercial facility.

The challenge

The paintwork at this facility required an update both internally and externally. The CBD location brought on access issues that required careful consideration. Access to the external facades was limited, while the use of mechanical equipment meant exclusion zones were necessary to ensure the public’s safety.

As the customer’s emphasis was on uplifting the facility’s look and feel, our operations team liaised with colour consultancy specialists Dulux to ensure the appropriate specification was applied. We selected a range of products and colours that would improve the condition and appearance of this facility. Enamoured by our proposed colour scheme and operations plan, the customer accepted our scope of works.

Solution

Our operations team utilised an access plan consisting of swing stages, boom lifts and rope access and crowd control fencing to protect the pedestrian traffic below. Dulux Metalshield and Weathershield for the exterior and Wash & Wear for the interior were the chosen paint products, applied the colour scheme of Dulux Candle Bark, Dulux Stone Fortress and Dulux Domino. Results

After over 2,000 litres of paint was applied, this commercial facility had received a new lease on life. Though this project provided a unique challenge the finished product pleased all involved.
